What is Art Therapy?
Art therapy combines the creative process and psychotherapy, facilitating self-exploration and understanding. Using imagery, colour and shape as part of this creative therapeutic process, thoughts and feelings can be expressed that would otherwise be difficult to articulate.

WHO BENEFITS FROM ART THERAPY
Art therapy can benefit many different people, whether you are dealing with mental health challenges, physical illness, or life transitions such as grief and loss. It can be helpful for those who struggle to verbally express or articulate themselves, helping them to process difficult experiences and understand their emotions.
*No artistic experience required!
During the Session
An art therapy session provides a supportive environment for self-expression, with art invitations tailored to the client's needs in the moment. Participants explore their thoughts and feelings using various materials of their choice, and the process can include discussion or remain silent, depending on what the client prefers. The therapist facilitates the experience, encouraging reflection on the artwork at the end of the session.
